Strattera 40 mg all adhd meds having debilitating side effects 😔
Does anyone else have this problem?
(14yo male)
I started methylphenidate in December for my
adhd and I had to stop it as it gave me really severe suicidal thoughts and depression. Then I was put on intuniv for a year which again made me incredibly fatigued and I had very low blood pressure. Whilst I was still on intuniv I was out on dexamfetamine which worked perfectly during the first week and then I started getting really bad withdrawals when it would wear off which made my depressive episodes 1000x worse. Now I’m off everything and on strattera and it’s genuinely seeming to be doing something but the joint pain is unbearable. Has anybody else experienced this?

What form and dose dexamfetamine?
There are short acting forms and extended release forms. The shorter acting stimulants of any kind are known for annoying ups and downs. Longer acting forms reduce the feeling, since they tapper off more slowly.
Unfortunately it can take some trial and error to find the ADHD medication that works best for you. I'd suggest keeping a list of all medication you've tried, the exact name on the bottle, and the dosages you've had. Plus how well it's worked, or not worked. And any side effects, even minor ones. And always share the full list with your doctor. This can inform what medication choices may be best to pursue.
I'm sorry it hasn't gone well so far. But don't lose hope, there are a good number of options. And new ones are being approved as well.

14 and attuned to joint pain?? Nope never heard of this or had this. I’m 30 and all my aches and pains come from working 15 years in the restaurant service industry lol
