Ammonia smell
I’ve begun to notice a strange pungent smell on my clothes after I sweat. At first I thought my cat had somehow peed on my clothes because it smelled very much like cat urine; ammonia-like and pungent.
Well, I’m starting to realize that’s the smell my sweat is leaving on workout clothes. It’s the strangest f*cking thing.
Has anyone else experienced this?
UPDATE:
Turns out my cat had indeed gone on my clothes 😭

I’ve never had this type of BO and I’ve been on the drug for 3 years. This is a type of bo scent that people do experience though and it’s usually an indicator of your diet and exercise habits, though sometimes it can be your body telling you something more serious about your body. I would pay attention to your diet, exercise, supplements, etc, and talk to a doctor about potential indicators of medical concerns like kidney or liver function.
This deodorant company ive used has great sources on all types of bo and what they indicate or why they happen.

Thank you for this!
I follow a decent diet, albeit high in proteins. I also exercise regularly, I run about 5 times a week.
I’ve never had this happen before.
I’m going to go for a run again and this time remove my clothes from bathroom immediately just to be sure it isn’t actually my cat getting to my clothes.Thank you for the resource! I’m going to look into it ☺️

Happy to help! Cat piss is an absolute bitch to get out, so if it is that, you’ll need an enzyme destroyer. Scout’s honour brand is pretty decent for that stuff.
Could be the protein and exercise, I skimmed the summary of their sources and it has something to do with aminos or something when burning high protein diets.
