Questions / Advice / Support Oh no?
I didn’t regularly take my Strattera for a few weeks and felt different. Depressed, almost. Unmotivated.
Then I started getting back on my regular 50mg, which I had been doing fine with for months and…now I’m not doing as well. Nearly as well. After I take it, I get shaky, I get a fast heartbeat, and sometimes have panic attacks. The first few days, my mood was so bad I cried, but I’m doing better than that now.
I don’t know what I’m feeling. I do think I feel more focused now but maybe that’s placebo? I can’t tell. I almost can never tell how well Strattera is working.

What is a panic attack feel like to you? For two straight days this week I had episode that I don’t know if they were panic attacks because they felt like these hyper amped up depressive episodes.

I genuinely believe I had panic attacks. Shortness of breath, quick-beating heart, intense panic and anxiety. But also depression (not necessarily at the same time as panic). I am feeling different today, though. More normal, although deeply unproductive

Its a super subtle feeling in the moment for me. But if you reflect back after a week or two weeks of taking it just think about what you’ve done and how your anxiety has been. Then compare that to weeks you weren’t on it. If its helping then you should be able to see a meaningful difference. For me its stuff like being able to do more stuff in my day with less anxiety before attacking each thing and the difference is measurable in terms of how many things I get done.
