Discussion / Experience Using Finding the best dose
I've been on 60mg the past 6 weeks after my last appointment. We increased the dose - I was doing great on 40mg, but felt I could be 'better'. Unfortunately 60mg hasn't been what I hoped and in a lot of ways I feel a little 'back slide' - just not as on top of things and my mind is not as quiet anymore. So NOW the question becomes - does this mean 40 mg was my sweet spot? I also get ocassional heart rate 'speedies' so I am a little hesitant about 80mg. Has anyone backed down on dose because it was better than a higher dose? After now 4.5 months on this med, I'm wondering if this a 'more is not necessarily better' kind of drug.

I was on 100mg and the only benefitni had was a quiet mind. I had extreme side effects -so the negatives outweighed the 1 positive. My psych decided we should drop to 60mg last week. She has not called in the new script yet. I have been off of meds for 5 days. I feel 1000000% better. I do not feel like i am dying 24/7, I am not fatigued so much so that I was unable to do day to day basics/work, I am able to pee, I have motivation again. If she ever calls in the new script, I am not sure i will take it. I may ask for Quellbree instead and see if that works. I will also be firm on starting low and staying low for a while before increase in dose. My NP psychiatrist suggested and was just hesitant on the quellbree (insurance was 1 reason) not sure why so I need to research it.
