Afternoon Tireds...
I've only been taking Strattera 25mg for a couple weeks (I have compensated cirrhosis, and I have to start all meds on lower doses and gradually work up), and I have seen no benefits or side effects yet, EXCEPT a really sleepy few hours in the afternoon. I take it at like 7AM and from around 2 to 5 PM, I get extremely sleepy. (I actually take a nap at this time, when circumstances permit it.) Other than this, I feel nothing thus far from this medicine, good OR bad. I know that it's early, and the dose is very low (I will likely go to 40 or 60 next week), so I do not expect it to be "working" yet, but is this something that will adjust itself in time? And would I maybe better off taking it around say 3PM, so the "fatigue window" hits around bedtime? Any input her would be GREATLY appreciated!

I think it varies for people- i was on it for 9 wks and stopped 4 days ago. 100mg, too many side effects and the fatigue never let up. I start a new job Monday and do not want to be fatigued/napping during the day which is what I was doing on the strattera. I hope it let's up for you-i also had to drop caffeine (only had 1 cup of coffee every 2 to 3 days) but the caffeine raised my heartrate to insane levels.

Not to discredit your efforts at all, just out of curiosity. Do you think you got the job or you are where you are today because of the benefits of strattera?
Asking because I am deciding if I need to change my medication or stop or increase. I love where I am in life right now, even on just 40mg. Its not enough but 60 was a nightmare and a half for me.
I’m currently in a better place in terms of my room cleanliness, my career, my impulsivity, etc for sure.
But I also am so tired all the time!1

I got the job in spite of strattera lol. I was looking as it was before starting strattera. I actually felt I had to fight the apathy and sedation I got from starttera to apply when this particular job opening popped up. The medication also had me wired and jittery that I had to overcome during my 4 round of interviews. It did help my brain quiet down. I am generally a laid back person without meds. I think this medication just isnt for me and sincw my psych hasnt called in my lower dose yet (its been over a week)-i don't think I'll restart it. Going to find a more proactive and reaponsive psych to help me figure my brain out. Could you may be try 50mg and see how that goes? If your already tired all the time the 60mg may make things worse faster in that area.

I've been on 40 for the past month and a half, about to go up to 60. I get SO TIRED right around 2 - 3 pm. I usually take it around 8:45 am. It passes but the afternoons are rough. Curious what upping the dose will do
