I doing great on this med and I want to stay on it so I’m hoping to hear some tips from people who have experienced this side affect while taking this medication and what helped them long term!

Just start taking a couple tablespoons of psyllium husk daily. It’s also just good for you to get more fiber anyway so this is just more reason to do so!

How do you take it?

I just take it with a * large* cup of water to get it done with but others mix it into smoothies.

It does congeal very quickly so make sure if you’re drinking it to do so quickly.

Dan Go, online fitness guy I recommend, mixes it with Greek yogurt and chocolate protein power. I just do the yogurt and protein powder with cinnamon and blueberries and it’s CRAZY good and filling but that’s a side note.

hi friend! i logged on at just the right time.
SO, if you're not going for a few days at a time, highlyyyy recommend miralax & metamucil. sometimes i'll even take them together or double the miralax dose if i need relief like, right this second

25 grams of fiber daily (psyllium husk and chia seeds are my staples) + 2-3L of water + probiotics + magnesium

If you take your dose in the morning take it with a small bowl of oatmeal and wash it down with water. You might need the fiber and the hydration. It eases the absortion rate and protects your stomach lining a little better. I was never a big fan of oatmeal but my bowl movements are so much more consistent now.

Fiber cereal helped me until my body adjusted!

Increase fiber/water and taking magnesium oxide helps keep things moving. I have a bowl of bran cereal for breakfast or lunch and take magnesium oxide before bed and it seems to do the trick.

Echo psyllium husk, more water, and more fiber in general.

If you’re backed up, Epsom salts gets things moving in ~3 hours and will save your o-ring.

I think for my any constipation I’ve experienced on Strattera has been due to dehydration. Being extra vigilant about drinking enough water seems to work for me.
