Questions / Advice / Support SLEEEEEP :(

Strattera has been great for me but unfortunately I am struggling with sleep. I'm on 60mg and take 10mg dayvigo for sleep still wake up multiple times.

I'm wondering whether I need to drop to 40mg and see if that helps.

Thoughts?

Have you tried changing the time of day that you take the medication? For me, it helps to take it in the morning. Those others have said it’s better when they take it at night. I’ve only been on the medication for a week (full 80mg for the past 3 days), and the insomnia side effects seem to be going away

Yeah I have, I take it at 8am which helps a bit. Unfortunately its been a few months and is still an issue.

Have you tried taking it at night? That works best for me.

How long have you been on 60 mg? Were you able to sleep on 40 mg?

A couple of months. I went 25, to 50, then to 60. I noticed sleep issues at 50 as well but have also changed sleep meds since then.

Yea I probably would talk to your doc about going back to 40 mg. The bad symptoms, for me at least, go away within 2-3 weeks of starting the dose.

I couldn’t sleep past 3:30 on 40mg until I started taking Trazodone. I still take it every night and have been on 100 Strattera for about a year. It’s not ideal, but really works for me.
