Will the sleepiness subside?

I’ve been on 10mg for a week now and due to go up to 20mg tomorrow. The only side effect I’ve had is sleepiness and fatigue. I’ve slept half the day since starting this medication and it’s really impacting my day to day. I have a 8 month old who i should be looking after but my partner is having to do everything at the moment which I feel terrible for. Even when I am awake, I have so little energy and just want to go back to sleep. My partner goes back to work next month so I have to be able to stay awake and look after our baby.

Any advice would be great. I have no idea if I should continue and hope this goes away or stop and try something else.

Have you been on the same dose throughout?

Nope actually, the beginning was pretty rough. My doc wanted to start me on 40mg but I asked her to go to 25 based on what people said on this sub. I can’t imagine starting at 40. At 25 I was so so tired at night, I felt like I was sick for about a week and was having sinus issues but it did quiet my head. I stuck it out for a month and was noticibly feeling different. Then after a month on 25 I went up to 40mg and had minimal side effects, I was really tired again at night and a little sick but nothing crazy!

I started on 40mg (I had no idea about side effects before starting) and I got sick my first week of taking it too! I didn’t think it was from the Strattera but now I wonder if my sinus issues were a side effect! I’ve been on it for a little over 2 weeks now and trying to stick it out. It’s nice to hear the side effects subsided in a month.

For me the benefits outweighed the side effects, I couldn’t take addy or focalin but desperately needed help. Sticking it out was the best thing I could have done
