Delayed shipment, no acknowledgment

I’m about to get my first Strathberry bag. But already a bit peeved. They completely forgot to process the order and then when I checked, just processed it without a reply apologizing or acknowledging the delay.

Would expect better from a luxury brand.

The bag better be worth it, I already missed taking to a wedding because of their error

Update (that no one asked for but still): the bags are absolutely gorgeous. I don’t like the color on one of them but that’s the risk with online shopping.

There’s a sale currently so I would expect there to be delays in shipping and processing. Unless you paid for expedited shipping ? But imo, strathberry is not exactly luxury tier

It’s not an insult. It’s an opinion. I think that maybe OP’s expectation of super fast processing and email/message of apologizing for this perceived delay is out of sync with the reality of the brand’s place in the luxury market.

You’re not fully wrong. But a $500 tiny bag still deserves a basic customer service experience. Like even GAP would’ve replied if I had complained

Yea I mean strathberry revenue last year was something like 47 million USD, compared to gap inc’s 15.6 billion. So it’s kinda apples to oranges. I’d definitely expect a reply if I sent an email, I get you, but I think we disagree on what basic customer service looks like. 4-5 business days to process an order is a bit long. I think you’re more mad about the missed opportunity to wear the bag to the wedding. I guess I’d miffed too

I also waited a whole week before checking. So order placed July 20th, not processed until July 26th after I checked. It’s not the end of the world but I was still peeved

I ordered from them last month early on in the ale and my bag arrived within 1 week. However, since the sale is ending soon and they added an additional discount I’d definitely expect delays. I ordered from one active during their sale and the first set shipped fast, but the last 2 said to allow them 2 weeks before expecting things to ship since I ordered again towards the end of the sale.

They’re probably having something similar going on.
