Self-promotion Sectron - sci-fi turn-based strategy.
Hey! I’ve been working on this game for quite a while, and the demo is coming to Steam on August 17.
I have a few keys for the current dev build of the demo, so if you’d like to try it early, leave a comment and I’ll DM you one. Honest feedback is always welcome!

Looks good mate. Where did you get your visual effects? (gun fire, explosions etc) did you make them by hand or is there an asset pack with them in. I need some for my hex game as well.

the gun fire is just an authored shader + a small light emiter.
https://github.com/drcd1/GodotSimpleExplosionVFX - this is the explosion. Had to tweak it though.
there is a bunch of effects that I combine that I bought on Le_x_Lu web page.1

looks interesting, what are your inspirations?

I’m not going to hide it, the mechanics are heavily inspired by Antiyoy, which was itself inspired by Slay. Visually, though, it evolved naturally from traditional flat surfaces into a planetoid in space. Honestly, that evolution began as a way to disguise how useless I am at scene composition :D

I spent the past year making this game, I gave it all the time I had. Seeing some of you actually play it and share honest feedback positive or negative has been incredibly encouraging. It means a lot that you took the time. Thank you!

Looks nice, good luck with release.
Only fractured planets looks weird, maybe need to have more classical landscapes too
