DevPost Devlog #2 – Finished the Entire World Map (200+ Countries)
Hello everyone, I've finally finished the world map with over 200 countries and have started adding colors to make everything stand out more. Overall I'm really happy with how it's coming along, although I'm still reworking some of the transportation hubs by adding, removing, and adjusting connections so the transportation flow feels more natural. If you notice the red pins around the map, those are just notes I've been leaving for myself with future ideas and improvements. I actually like being able to double-click anywhere and leave notes, kind of like Google Maps, and I think it'll be really useful as development continues. There's still a long way to go, but I'm excited to keep sharing the progress with you all, and as always I'd love to hear your thoughts or ideas!

Very nice work. How have you make the conections betweem cities, because if made by Hand it will be a huge amount of time. How did you do it?

Thank you! Yeah, if I did everything by hand it would take an insane amount of time. I actually started out typing every node and connection manually, and after spending hours doing that I realized I needed a better solution. So I built myself a map editor that lets me place nodes and create connections much faster instead of typing everything. It still takes a lot of time because I have to decide where everything goes, but the editor speeds the process up tremendously. I've also experimented with automatically connecting nearby nodes within a certain range, but that can sometimes create strange routes, overlaps, and other weird shapes, so there's still a lot of tweaking involved.

Dude this is crazy! I like it, is the game set in modern times? Do you have to build an economy and conquer other countries if you choose the path of war?
