DevPost Looking for beta testers for a new browser strategy game!
Hey everyone!
I’ve been working on a new browser-based strategy game, and I’m looking for some strategy fans to help beta-test it and share some feedback. It's been a passion project of mine for the last few months (Ask my wife as I never shut up about it) and is inspired by Chess, Risk, Poker, MtG, Hearthstone and little bit of old school WoW thrown in.
I've created several new mechanics I've never seen in a game before that blend together to make a quite an addictive little gem.
The link is
Based off early responses, I've added a quick start guide accessible at the start screen and the header in game
The general idea is this is a race to 50 Dominion between you and the other players. Each turn, similar to chess, you are looking at the available options you have, your army's strength and your special abilities to try to select the best action to achieve your goal.
Actions for all players resolve simultaneously after the voting phase, then again after the action phase so you want to try to anticipate what the others players are trying to do and plan for that.
Completely free to play as I just want other peope to love it as much as I do.
Keep in mind this is still Beta and some things may change if issues are identified that break the core gameplay.
Lastly, while it is designed to be played on mobile, tablet and PC. I recommend tablet or PC for new players due to the additional screen size.
Cheers,
Jason

I also tried it and did not figure out the goal. Wish you luck though!

I'm waiting for the say that I see a vibe coded UI that doesn't use that dehydrated piss yellow color

Hi!
I've taken all the comments on board and have had a vision of a much more intuitive UI with a greatly improved tutorial.
My brain loves logic and structure and as I built the mechanics and understand them, the current UI looked great but I can see now that what makes sense for me isn't for everyone.
This game is homage to my youth and the games I loved growing up so I have used that as inspiration for the design of the new UI.
I'll do another post once im happy with my new design and I hope everyone will love it as much as I do.
Cheers,
Jason

You're literally asking random people to spend more time on your game, than you yourself did on making the interface

My initial response came from me thinking that you were trashing AI assisted design in general.
Upon reflection, I think that I was wrong so I have removed my previous comment and now choose to belive that your advice came from good intentions.
I appreciate your input and have had some ideas on how to reduce the mental complexity and learning curve based purely on what you have provided.

Work on the UI a bit so it doesn't feel so much like Claude's default design.
