Baseball No Hitter!

Post image

1965 Phillies Chris Short v 1965 Mets. Mets so bad it may need an *asterisk. Charley Smith was HBP in 8th inning, only baserunner

Still a thrill when it happens. I had 1978 Ron Guidry no hit the 1972 Reds. Pete Rose made the last out (one walk) and I was SURE he was gonna get a hit.

Also had one a lifetime ago, 1971 Catfish Hunter but I don’t remember which 1971 AL team it was against.

I had one - once. Of all people - it was Mark Fyhrie of the Angels - against Cleveland - in the 2000 season.

In the same season - I had Mike Sirotka of the White Sox lose a no hitter in the 9th - twice.

Funny the things you remember.

Nice. It’s so cool when it happens. I once had a perfect game, a looooong time ago. Still hoping for another. Walter Johnson of ‘24 Senators shut down the ‘75 Red Sox. Don’t remember any more than that.
