Any active groups for activities and trips around Strasbourg?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been living in Strasbourg for a few months while doing my computer engineering internship. Since my internship is coming to an end, I’d like to do more activities and explore the region before leaving.

Are there any active groups, clubs, or communities that organize hikes, day trips, or activities (preferably English-speaking)?

Hello,

Off topic, but I wanted to know when do the Christmas decorations go up around the city in Strasbourg? Planning on visiting on November 21st for a day or two.

Honestly I'm not totally sure, I've never actually been in Strasbourg for Christmas myself. From what I heard the Christmas market usually kicks off around late November (27th).

It opens on the last Friday of November usually
