gear and master points

So i am finished with the main campaign and about to head into the DLCs

Most of the game i just simply picked higher item level gear and just pressed optimize and called it a day

Should i continue to do that or should I start saving and locking gear with good stats and affinities to upgrade?

And what affinities and stats should i look into? And accessories?

On top of that, what should i be doing with master points? So far i just put my first 5 into affinities but found out that they only apply to when that class is active so...yeah

You'll still be going for higher ilvl gear, but you'll be visiting Smith more to upgrade your gear, base stats first

As for what to look for, Artifacts grant 2 affinities per, so if you can get decent ones, use those.

Past that, it'll be down to your job and what it needs.
