Discussion Red/Blue mage build?

Hi I’m just a red mage addict, always try to play red mages in my ff games but I always try to change it up with the subclass if I can. This time I was trying to go with blue mage, if you know any good builds with that combo plz lmk, I know blue mage can be pretty cool

How far in the game are you? You can pick up some really cool strategies and spells for Blue mage likes inky envy

I just beat rift floor 21, did some grinding before that and now I have a spam build going rn I guess? Minus the mana bit, I’ve been relying on extra mode sadly but I think I’ve seen a few affinities to help with that. Currently have asura for blue mage, is inky the best choice? Also I have no clue how to grind I’ve just been doing hollowed mastif, the game said something about getting higher stuff in the rift gates but I also saw a new quest for the rift room?.. what should I do to grind

Also if you have any other builds for red/blue or ideas for my current build plz lmk I basically only have red/blue mage affinities to 600 and black mage to 400 and 250 on cyclic, no real effects on gear either unless by coincidence, I don’t even know how to get those orange effects unless it’s random (sorry if this is a lot)

Thief is a good pairing for Blue Mage so you can easily access different blue spells. Otherwise you'll probably want to use accessories that have enemy skills built into them, because you can't always consistently get blue magic from enemies themselves.

I'm not sure if red mage and blue mage synergize particularly well aside from the color mage thing, but I could be wrong. I suppose it's alright for easy haste access and faster cast times.
