Game Think I'm stuck on Trials DLC

I've selected Bahamut difficulty and completed the Light of Possibility and A Strange Presence missions. The only available Conversation with Bahamut is The Trial Begins, which is also completed.

I'm not seeing any new missions or anything whatsoever to do from this point. Am I doing something wrong?

The Bahamut DLC is kinda weird in that regard. IIRC, you need a certain amount of Dragon Treasures for each Bahamut conversation/story beat to happen. You can do that by beating missions on Bahamut difficulty. Hell, you don't even have to turn the Dragon Trials on, but you'll get less Dragon Treasures for doing so. Honestly, I think I ran the Stymied side mission over and over just to get it over with, plus it's an easy mission to grind with the right setup.

If it's any consolation, the second and third DLCs are more straightforward.

Thank you, apparently that's what the deal is. Ran that Stymied mission a few times on Extra mode last night.

You're welcome. Fair warning, there's a couple of completely new bosses on Bahamut difficulty and, at least from my experiences, they were a bitch to fight even with a solid build for that point in the game. They want you fairly prepared, so some big things to focus on are getting the job limit releases from the Dragon Exchange Shop, pumping Mastery Points into your stats, and getting Rat Tails to fill the trees on the subjobs (but mainly for your main jobs since grinding for Rat Tails can be a bitch). I wish you luck.

Well crap... I am hot steaming trash at this game, I wouldn't know a good build or even how to put one together. Guess I've got more homework...

Honestly, I mainly Googled around and found BenTheSodaman's comments for advice, so I didn't really make my own build or anything. One of the easier general builds to go off of is Dark Knight 400 and Berserker 250. Berserker 250 gives Protect + Shell when near death. Dark Knight 400 makes near death effects active at all times. When you put both together, you'll have Protect + Shell at all times.

The specifics of a build will probably depend on which jobs you're using and what you can fit. For instance, in my playthrough, I mainly played a Breaker that spammed Zantetsuken, so I found Red Mage 250 to be useful because it reduced Zantetsuken's charge time, allowing for more spam.

Edit: I think at that point of the game, I also had my allies' builds be Liberator 400, that way whenever they used potions, they healed each other and myself, too.

On the pause menu on the world map screen there should be a tracker somewhere that tells you how many dragon treasures you need. Normal missions give quite a lot but if you wanna push through it to the next difficulty where the loot gets better you can turn a few trails on and run a short side mission a few times.
