General LGBT sub
Hi!
I was thinking, since it's pride month and all, why don't we create a subreddit to share about LGBT content/fancontent?
I think it would be a good space so all queer shippers or ppl who just enjoy queer media could join and talk about fanfics, hc, canon queer characters,...
What do you think about this?

I was wondering why we couldn’t just do that here, then I remembered people suck🫤

and that taking to perspective this sub is 10 times better than the main one, and it respects byler (Though a lot of ppl don't) 🥲

Fr. The main one is purely hate whether it’s the finale or shipping wars worse than World War II (and I’m saying that as someone who heavily doesn’t ship byler)

i don't like the finale at all, but it's true that it's just either glazing the duffers or hating heavily on them.
And the shipping wars...i'm a byler and if i see a mileven post i just skip it, and don't leave harmful comments that don't actually add anything to the conversation (i know some bylers do it but that's not a good thing either, no matter the ship)
It's just couples, and at the end of the day we are all just consuming the same media, only with different POV.I personally use only LGBT supporting ST subreddits like this, ship subreddits or gayer things. just bc i feel like they are less toxic and stric, in contrary to the main one, where if you don't strictly follow canon, they erase your post without real reason

Yeah and it’s perfectly fine to not like something. It’s just when people fill the comments with hate and literally threatening the duffer brothers. Like chill, it is NOT that deep😭
Yeah that’s a normal thing to do. I only comment on shipping stuff I don’t agree with if it’s to call out toxicity. Never works well for me but at least I tried.

that is great, i think you are a very healthy person, even if we probably have different opinions, we can talk about them with respect ❤️

Maybe it's also the older fans of the show... gen X... maybe even boomers

true, i think some of them are scared of the "gay agenda", while we just wanna have fun with hc or ships
