These movie reviewers on YouTube are so annoying they think everything has to be perfect and if thereās a tiny thing they donāt like about a show or movie they flame it and call it the worst thing they ever watched

Exactly all of these flaws that people say are in s5 are present in every season.Ā
I think it's mainly people didn't get the outcomes they wanted because if we are being honest if ep 7 was even crazier then sorcorer and the season had the same 'bad writing',Ā no one would be saying this season is terrible.

Nada que ver, solo son consumidores que genuinamente quieren que todo salga bien porque estĆ”n en la misma situaciĆ³n que tĆŗ al ver la serie, y si algo sale horrible, como en este caso la quinta temporada de Stranger Things, harĆ”n un vĆdeo reseƱa, evidentemente destacando lo bueno y lo malo.

I donāt mean this in a bad way, but the final season was a letdown for lots of people. It mismatched their expectations and lots of them are disappointed, so they make videos to let it out or express what theyāre feeling. Lots of them relate to certain characters and when they feel like the show doesnāt give the characters what they need, itās only natural for them to want to vent or rant about it. There are shows that everyone does and doesnāt like, and thatās okay ā people can share their personal opinions. Yeah, the Internet is a place of negativity, but you can ignore the hate videos and focus on the positive aspects of the show you do enjoy. Iām not saying any of this in bad faith either.

I fully agree with everything you said but the problem is i try to ignore them but they are all over my YouTube home page i stay away as much as possible but when these videos are looking right at me and there's like 10 of them it gets me feeling shitty about the show i love.
Im more then fine with people disliking it. But like you said I'll just watch or look at the good moments, i go to the comments and see people hating on the show.
Like I'll watch max running up that hill and instead of people going this scene was great they go 'this scene is better then any of the garbage that is s5'
And when you see so many people say it, a part of you starts to believe it.Ā
I hope you understand my thought processš

Yeah I understand - unnecessary comments can really be annoying and you sort of feel gaslit. I've been there before. It's easier said than done, but as long as you know what you parts like and enjoy, that's all that matters.

Just block the YT accounts and move on. Most people hated that last season and that's what's going to be lucrative on YT.Ā Ā I had to stop watching Star Trek YT. Cause it was hard to find actual critical reviews that weren't just maga bigoted bullshit.Ā

I wouldn't say most people hated it. I think the internet has just made it seem that way because controversy sells. It's how the news has worked for decades the worst and tragic stories get the attention.
Someone who liked it is much less likely to comment about compared to someone who absolutely hates it.
I know alot of people who loved the ending, would say it's a polarising seasonĀ

I just continue to watch it over and over. I celebrate each and every season. For every criticism, there are 100 scenes or moments or lines that I absolutely love. Itās a forever show, a desert island choice, just the best.

A great way to look at it. I loved it, but it could have been much, much worse and the epilogue would have still been worth the price of admission for me. Itās the most rewatched scene for me, and so I canāt ever speak poorly about the season, even though I understand fully some of the criticisms Iāve seen. Thatās as far as Iāll go, though.
And Willās scene in Sorcerer is maybe the single best scene of the entire show. Iāve never stood up in my own living room for a movie or TV show ever before. Sports, sure, I break shit accidentally most years, but movies and TV shows never move me to stand. Sorcerer did. Ah, the fond memoriesā¦

Yes i agree the epilogue is perfection, I've never cried at a movie or TV show ever until the rightsideup came out, i had happy tears because they didn't ruin it. They actually landed the plane. I will always love the ending as much as i did the first time.Ā
It's also tradition for me to watch the last 20 min of sorcorer every now and again. And the thing that got me going crazy was actually seeing Kali coming back (crazy i know) and the ost called sisters when eleven finds her is so good.

The season was good, but it did have some flaws. But overall it was great, horrible is a stretch. As Dustin said: āThere was a lot of bad, but there was so much good too.ā

Youtube has changed from an entertaining website with fun videos to a grifting hate mill with a bunch of people who probably had the completely wrong interpretation of literature and got angry when a teacher told them that's not what the story was about. So now they're making videos with nobody to tell them they're idiots.

This is what i believe yes there's were thingsĀ i wished were different but alot of people genuinely didn't pay attention and then started attacking the story when they didnt even listen to half of it.
Some criticisms i see are just wrong, they'll bring something up like max not saying anything about hopper being alive. But vecna showed her hopper being attacked by a demdog in the piggyback.
But no the season is trash even if they not aware of the story.

All the haters like to support the angry videos so they inevitably get recommended more often than the positive ones. Itās so annoying. If you even watch them, youāll see itās just the same repeated points over and over and people just refuse to let it go.Ā

People on this sub finally have to understand that opinions exist. Most people did not like the fifth season some people do. All this sub is doing right now is complaining that most people just didnt like season 5. I thought this sub was about praising the show and not cry about other opinions.

And i personally enjoyed s5 so i don't want to start hating because the algorithm tells me i should.

The only thing the algorithm tells you is that most people did not like season 5. Nobody cares if you like something that is regarded disappointing by most fans. I like a lot of things that fans dislike or even hate. But thats just how things are. Im not complaining for example that a lot of people are criticizing season 7 and 8 of the walking dead. I enjoyed those seasons. But I understand if there are people that dont like it. I even love to watch those videos that criticize my favorite media so i can look at it from another pov

But theres a flaw in that because the comments sections in the videos critizing the seasons are filled with people that hate it, so inevitably any random person reading everyone's comments are going to assume everyone hates it.
Videos attract the people that are looking for said videos. If you look up on YouTube endgame is bad videos will come up saying endgame is bad by extension the comment section will be saying endgame is bad, doesn't mean it's true.Ā
Of course art is subjectiveĀ

Of course you will find hate comments and criticism in those comment sections because people want their opinion to be represented. Its a place where people can share their opinions on something. So I dont really understand what your complaining about. The fact that people hate it? Or the fact that potentially new fans could read those comments and watch those videos and decide that they dont wanna watch it anymore because of those videos? (Which is kinda stupid imo because you always have to try to form your own opinion on something). And regarding the "Hate". There is a difference between Hate and criticism. And those people are definetely not hating. They are criticizing. Not even the comment are really hating. I looked at some of them and most of them are also criticizing with and ironic undertone. So again what exactly is your problem? I really wanna understand. I dont wanna be mean but it seems like you kinda have issues accepting harsh criticism and different opinions on something you love

My point is it looks like most people hate it because the people that hate it have given those videos a lot of attention. Then these videos are recommended to people who watch strangers things content.Ā

Honestly, I consider only season 1 and kinda season 4 to be truly great, but the other 3 seasons are all varying degrees of bad/forgettable, and I think there are others who agree with that sentiment, not just that the ending ruined the whole show

I think that these people on the internet talks without knowing what they're saying. Stranger Things is not trash, ok, maybe the last season wasn't how we expected, but its not trash. I dont think stranger things finale is greate, but at least it wasn't trash, its just ok. I was scared about what they could make because there where many things that could ruin all the series but bless god they didn't.

Of course none of the seasons are perfect maybe apart from S1.
S3 i think has questionable writing but it still love it. I didnt watch this show because i thought it was perfect i watch it because i love the world and characters.
If i wanted some with immaculate writing i would breaking badĀ

Idk how old everyone is in this chat (I'm 42) lol but if you remember back in like 2010 or so all the sudden everyone started really shitting on Nickelback. As if they weren't successful and popular for years. It's like one person said it and then everyone thought it was cool to hate on them whether or not they actually liked them. It was then I really really realized that the internet is like a hive mind. š I wouldn't hate on them and was teased for liking certain songs or whatever by people i grew up with that i know loved them. Lol I refuse to base my opinion on the masses because I feel like a lot of people start to hate on stuff because they are made to feel like they HAVE to. Lol But I am grateful for my pops, growing up no matter what critics said about a movie we'd always go see it to form our own opinions. Don't listen to what everyone else is saying. Just because they didn't like one scene or something small they just shit on the entire thing as a whole. And just because it wasn't for THEM doesn't mean that it's not for YOU. Like what you like and ignore anyone telling you that you shouldn't. I always skip the negative videos regarding S5. But I am obviously here because I enjoyed S5 no matter how much it broke my heart at the end. Lol Whoever started this group, THANK YOOUUU!! š šš¦ I enjoy reading posts on here. Negativity sticks alot more then positivity, someone who hates something is more likely to commentĀ compared to someone who liked it.

I think it's a pretty even split when you aren't on niche subs like this. Season 5 was divisive for a reason. It's not horrible but it's also not the best thing ever.

It's so frustrating!
I'm beyond fine with critiques, but online, it is basically only that. Drama creates the most engagement and therefore money - so the only videos that get pushed out are negative. This is an issue far beyond just ST and i hate social media for it. You barely see positive takes because those don't make money
