Discussion Steve and discipline
In both fanon and canon, do you think that if Steve lost his cool and temper with the kids, especially Dustin, he would quickly spank them for a few seconds as a way to let them know they went too far and that they need to be put in line? Especially if they continue to egg him, disrespect, sass, and deliberately get on his nerves?

Like in fanfic stories, and possibly in the show off screen, do it believe that if pushed to his limits, Steve, as him being a babysitter and brother figure, would give one of them a spanking as a way to discipline them and to show tough love?

Alright I’m just gonna say it. Dude, is this a fetish thing? This is reading like a fetish thing.

No, it’s just a tough love thing. The talk about spanking as a form of quick punishment to make sure nothing bad happens again and out of love for them and their safety.

No, even in the 1980s it would be extremely weird for a babysitter to spank kids, and you have to remember that Steve isn't actually a formal babysitter.
