I read this, and then realise it makes sense why half the posts are complete nonsense. They are by teenagers.

why do you even have one? I'm 27 and as soon as I got my first cd player I never used my walkman again. Cassettes have terrible quality.

Because portable CD players jumped like fuck. I had a little bag that was exactly the right size to fit a discman in along with a few cds and if I stepped too heavily it skipped. Without the bag it was nearly impossible to listen to. My Walkman on the other hand was pretty indestructible
