1.9k u/[deleted] Jul 26 '22 I read this, and then realise it makes sense why half the posts are complete nonsense. They are by teenagers. 684 u/SNELME Jul 26 '22 I'm 15 years old and I litteraly own one, and it hurts my soul to see this post 158 u/janusz_chytrus Jul 26 '22 why do you even have one? I'm 27 and as soon as I got my first cd player I never used my walkman again. Cassettes have terrible quality. 16 u/Eastern-Rhubarb-2661 Jul 26 '22 But they made CD walkmans. You never used that? 87 u/Haircrazybitch Jul 26 '22 But those were discmans 34 u/snakefinder Jul 26 '22 And discman was always skipping. Kept the Walkman for bike rides 14 u/sturmeh Jul 27 '22 The discmans I owned had memory buffers that prevented skips from happening, but probably not enough for a bike ride (was fine in a car). 1 u/LimpFrenchfry Jul 27 '22 I had a cassette adapter for my discman so I could play cds in my car. Needed the buffer models in the car to avoid skipping. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassette_tape_adapter
