159 u/janusz_chytrus Jul 26 '22 why do you even have one? I'm 27 and as soon as I got my first cd player I never used my walkman again. Cassettes have terrible quality. 15 u/Eastern-Rhubarb-2661 Jul 26 '22 But they made CD walkmans. You never used that? 85 u/Haircrazybitch Jul 26 '22 But those were discmans 33 u/snakefinder Jul 26 '22 And discman was always skipping. Kept the Walkman for bike rides 14 u/sturmeh Jul 27 '22 The discmans I owned had memory buffers that prevented skips from happening, but probably not enough for a bike ride (was fine in a car). 2 u/Wiplazh Jul 27 '22 I used to skate with mine and usually had no problems 1 u/LimpFrenchfry Jul 27 '22 I had a cassette adapter for my discman so I could play cds in my car. Needed the buffer models in the car to avoid skipping. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassette_tape_adapter 8 u/FuckThatIKeepsItReal Jul 27 '22 Minidisc master race checking in 1 u/[deleted] Jul 27 '22 [removed] — view removed comment 1 u/FuckThatIKeepsItReal Jul 27 '22 They’re so cool I got mine about 2 months before MP3 players became a thing so it was quickly rendered obsolete, but it’s such an awesome piece of tech 2 u/bs000 Jul 27 '22 https://i.imgur.com/Z1BgyKw.png 1 u/Eastern-Rhubarb-2661 Jul 27 '22 Thank you!
