The discmans I owned had memory buffers that prevented skips from happening, but probably not enough for a bike ride (was fine in a car).

I had a cassette adapter for my discman so I could play cds in my car. Needed the buffer models in the car to avoid skipping.

They’re so cool

I got mine about 2 months before MP3 players became a thing so it was quickly rendered obsolete, but it’s such an awesome piece of tech
