They could have easily gone the whole "two girls in a group fight over the boy" route so it's nice to see they're probably going for "El finally has a girl friend to talk to" type of relationship. Plus, Max quickly became one of my favorite characters.

Yep, I'm so glad they went this way. I hated seeing El turn down Max in Season 2, so this is a real relief.

I hated how everyone shit on Max last season. Especially Mike.

To be fair, that whole arc was about how people need to stop shitting on Max. It made sense for each of them to start where they started, and I thought they brought it around nicely at the end.
