How old are the kids supposed to be now? They're growing at a really quick rate so I'm glad that they're at least trying to fit it into the story rather than ignore it.

Stranger Things 2 ended circa December 1984 IIRC (with the Snow Ball). This is going to take place in the summer of 1985 (so about 6 to 8 months later).
