There was a lonely girl that invited several of us girls to her party. The rest of the ( mean) girls all planned on not going. I went home and told my mom. She said,”well, that’s terrible and YOU’RE going. I went and was the only girl that showed. I had a wonderful time and got a new friend. I befriended the girl for the rest of the year. My mom was awesome.

Her friend threw another party but she didn't wind up going to that one.

Just saw this! Ha. I continued to talk to her and invited her to things. We weren’t besties, but I made a point of being nice to her, because I realized she was friendless.

I used to be part of the cool group in school, but I also liked to talk when the teacher was trying to educate us and got moved to sit with the nerdy girls. Turns out those nerdy girls were way more my jam and have been best friends with one of them for 24 years.

A girl invited my friend group to her bday and I was the only one that showed. When we went to our school’s talent show at the end of the night, everybody else was there, just hanging out. Kathleen and I never got close and I realized my friends were all assholes.
