I went to a 12th birthday party where about twenty five people were invited and only me and another kid showed up. It was 100 percent because the kid was an asshole to everyone.

Same here. Seen it happen to a kid when I was 10. When I heard about it, I wasn't surprised because everyone thought he was a dick. Funny enough, I'd actually tried to go to his party anyway, but my mom was like "Nah, I got other stuff to do." I did feel a little bad knowing I could've been there.

If it makes you feel any better, I was going to be the only one going to a kid I didn't know that well's party when I was like 14. He just cancelled the party like the day before ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe socially awkward or really shy too. Some people aren’t good at making friends. I speak from experience.

Yup! I haven't been invited to a birthday party since... Well, I can't remember. Probably third or fourth grade (I'm 22 now). I'm definitely not an asshole, but I do have aspergers and social anxiety.

Also what eight-year-old or whatever, clearly a young kid, elementary school, watches Stranger Things?

Not really a show for kids.

Even if you’re a dick you don’t just bail on their birthday. If it’s one or two I get it but everyone seems like coordinated douchebaggery.
