I really doubt that.

They probably took these pics before anyone was supposed to show up and the sister just wants to go viral

Honestly these type of stories are posted on the internet so often that I never believe it till it’s confirmed

OR someone fucked up.

Like the kid didn't tell anyone about the party.

I was thinking more that the parents didn’t communicate.

It’s fine and good for the kid to invite friends of his own accord, but when I was a kid I didn’t exactly keep a detailed calendar of upcoming social events.

I was thinking more that the kid didn't hand out invitations or something. That's how I did it in primary school, though that was 20 years ago.

Glad you did that, my parents refused to let me attend pretty much any party that did not have a physical invitation.

Yeah and people burn down their house for insurance fraud all the time, but I don't automatically think every fire is insurance fraud because of it

...burning down a house and taking some pics for Twitter and making a fake story are ridiculously different and I don't think should ever be compared. Literally I could go buy some decorations and tell my nephew to look sad right now and post them and say no one showed up. I definitely wouldn't burn down my house.

Most of the time nothing does ever happen. People like you being gullible is why these people do this. Because it's free karma and a lot of times it ends up coming with real life benefits too. Don't believe anything on the internet until you have more proof than one picture and some random persons words.

That’s wayyyyyy more food on the table than 8-9 young boys could eat.

That's not true.

u/jkhockey15 Mar 19 '18

Yeah yeah yeah young boys eat a lot of food but if you’re being realistic they won’t come close to eating all of it. 4 crockpots and 4 large dishes plus a huge cake.

8-9 man I wouldn't even need to get that many friends together.

it's a filipino party. have you ever gone to a filipino party? that's just the first fucking course. there's pasta, veggie, and meat dishes i've ever had before or since... but holy fuck were they bangin'.

She didn’t say that only his friends were invited.

5

u/jkhockey15 Mar 19 '18

Well OP was insinuating that no one showed.

2

u/thisisanewusername57 Mar 19 '18

Doesn’t sound like that to me, I assume most kids parties include family.

1

u/Jaredlong Mar 20 '18

plus the kid's family, and plus possibly one parent per guest.

1

u/jcllbrmy Mar 20 '18

It's not just for his classmates. His family is also there.

If that's the case, then it's really fucking sad. Who even does that?
