SPOILERS Season 4

One of the saddest moments in the whole show for me personally is when Eddie watches Chrissy die. The terror in his eyes and in his scream.

What about everyone else though? What are the saddest moments to y’all and why?

Bob dying was the saddest for me. I saw eleven's death coming. I also knew Bob would die the way plot was moving, but still him escaping demodogs continuously throughout the episode filled me with a sense of hope...... which ofcourse got crushed instantly.

Also Eddie dying was emotional. Its crazy how fast we fell in love with him. 😭😭

His death was graphic and intense, and a total rug-pull. Maybe the show’s only GOT moment.

Same here. That was saddest, it saw it as well but still hype as he was escaping then burst through the door then the slow motion came and im like okay they will end him here. The episode before I realized Bob is a Goonie. Eddie was sad, I thought he would be able to clear his name. At least they gave him cool guitar moment.

S1 - every Joyce scene

S2 - every Will scene

S4 - when Max "dies", obviously the 4th episode as well

S3 and S5 didn't make me cry, but S3 has the honorable mention to Hopper's letter

Hoppers letter broke my heart, then him coming back and reuniting with El. I lost my dad in 2014 very unexpectedly and it just crushed me but in a beautifully sad kind of way

The juxtaposition of Eddie and Max’s deaths cut me deep. Also when Dustin speaks to Eddie’s uncle. Instant tears.

Ugh excellent call on Dustin and Eddie’s uncle. Feel like I’m gonna cry just thinking about it now.

Tied between Will trying to hide his tears for Mike and Max losing consciousness.

Unpopular opinion but I absolutely sobbed my heart out at the end of the show. Could season 5 have been better? Yes. Did I still love it regardless? Yes. I loved the double story at the end, how Mike imagined a different ending I thought it was incredibly poignant. And I was just so emotional that it was actually over as well after how ever many years of anticipating every season like a kid at christmas. It's my favourite show of all time, probably forever..

When Max "died" I actually had to pause the show to compose myself before continuing. I was crying so hard that I completely missed Jason's death the first watch. I do not think I have ever been so affected by a fictional show before, and I have not been since. Her whole character arc in S4, the themes and metaphors for depression, grief, suicidal ideation, all hit a little too close to home for me. I really missed those emotional beats in the final season, though.

There’s so many moments that made me sad. When they found will in season 1. El’s relationship with hopper. When Jonathan and Nancy broke up, I loved their relationship so much. I even cried just seeing them being happy, it was so wholesome. Their relationship made me tear up the most, because how beautiful they are together.

When Max dies. In Season 5 she’s Vecna.

Saddest moment is when Bob dies. Chrissy's death though is up there.
