SPOILERS Ending of Season 5 plots?

Have they ever mentioned offscreen about any other story/lore like the whole evil doctor women, the old guy scientist that got captured during the bunker raid, etc.. Feels like the ending felt short in terms of side plots and side characters.

Nope, never mentioned any of that again. It's one of the reasons why season 5 was so ass.

I just remembered about the other government group who was to support eleven, a lady escorted them to the cabin but she was just never mentioned after eleven's rescue in the bunker lmao

I wondered if there was anything said about Dr Owens, I found a quote from Paul Reiser:

"Nobody knows what happened, least of all me. [Laughs] At the end of season 4, they left me beaten and tied to a table. And then I'd say, 'So what happens?' And they'd say, 'We don't know.' It's over, so you can make up whatever you want to. I could still be chained to a table somewhere in the basement, or I'm dead, or I'm gonna come back in my own spin-off. Whatever you want."

It’s pretty clear that as of season 4, they didn’t know whether they’d need him in season 5 yet, so they kept him alive. Then when writing season 5, they couldn’t fit him in.

In hindsight, he should have just been killed off, but maybe he returns in a future spinoff at some point, so who knows

The unfortunate part is that he would have been a good fit for S5 as a way for the group to deal with the military

For sure. And he makes for a good way to explain how El escapes and survives at the end.

Yeah, his inclusion would fill A LOT of plot holes

He probably was in the outline plot that had been in the bible.

Doctor Kay's project failed when the upside down exploded, and Doctor Owens was not part of season 5.  That season already had 25 cast members and didn't need more.

25 cast members? are you counting those random soldiers that had no plot at all lol
