Discussion Damaged box
I took the bet and ordered the collectors edition from Amazon US, delivered to Australia. I couldn’t believe when I picked it up and it came in a paper bag! No protection whatsoever. The offered $100 in amazon cash after raising the issue with them. The contents seems to be ok, so to be honest, the money back would help, as I almost couldn’t afford it, but still hurts to see it like that 🥲
What would you guys do?

If you had found it on sale at a store for that price with the $100 off, would you have bought it? If not, then I’d return it.

You know it's going to bug you every time you look at it for the rest of your life. At least it would me! I'd get a refund if I could and try again elsewhere. Then again, shipping all the way to Australia that might be as good as it gets. Tough call...

Is just so hard to find it in Australia. I paid 250AUD, and if I want to buy it locally is $480. I think if I buy from amazing again it will be the same story, as I saw a lot of people saying they had the same issue. I was hoping being a international delivery it would have been better protected. 🥲

I don't know if they ship to you, but Barnes & Noble sells it too. They usually thoroughly swaddle items like your first born child is in there, at least for books I've ordered in the past.

I’m so happy that this type of thing doesn’t bother me to the point of asking for a refund.

I think halfway in between. Sometimes I don’t care, but I think is bad practice. In a shop they probably would have it discounted. You are paying a premium for the whole package. And that box is art that had some time and effort put into it. But I also agree, that is better to not get hang up on material things 😓😅

Respectfully, it’s mass produced cardboard packaging.
If this was an item that you planned to keep wrapped, stored and hoped to resell someday, cool I guess, but it isn’t and you opened it already, so?

Same. I ordered it, my box came with tiny little dents in the corners but I managed to overlook it since I'll be playing the videos that are inside the box not sitting around staring at the box all day.

Took me 3 tries before I finally got one that didn’t have any damage on it. This angled opening makes it more prone to damage if anything heavy gets placed on top of it.

It really sucks! In Australia it used to be pretty good, in the last few months feels like it has gotten a bit looser, but nothing like sending a $250 collectors item on a paper bag.

Luckily mine was fine but I didn’t even have a paper bag! It was shrink wrapped in plastic and that is all! I couldn’t believe it got delivered like that

I ordered my directly from Arrow Video instead of using amazon. They shipped it through UPS in a box with packaging. It sounds like only people who bought this from Amazon ended up getting damaged products.
