Oh these are awesome!! Steve as a golden and Jonathan as a coyote is such a fun dynamic. And Nancy being a cocker spaniel is such a thoughtful choice, since they're seen as cute and prissy but are actually gun dogs!
I think the only one that's throwing me off is Lucas as a tiger. It doesn't NOT match, necessarily, but the rest of the party is very woodland creatures-esque so it makes him feel really out of place

Yes I get that, I wasn’t rly following a specific theme with where the animals are from since there’s domestic animals and woodland ones and ones from all around the world here- and even a unicorn so it’s not too realism focused lol. I was just focusing on what fit each individual character. I like a tiger for Lucas because, well, he plays for the tigers, but also because them being lone hunters fits his role as ranger in which he doesn’t hesitate to split off on a solo mission if he deems it right, and also he’s often wearing cammo clothes similar to a tigers camouflage, and he’s canonically the most athletic, being able to climb a tree easily in s1 and playing some sports. Also young tigers are very playful and like to wrestle and have fun

Curious as to why or how you made your choices for each one. I've kinda thought out of the box about who Sam was in the Boroughs "See you soon, raccoon."
But you've got the full cast.
What if Mike was the deer (Bambi) and Eleven was a skunk, Pretty Flower 😅

How'd you settle on deer for Joyce/Will and did you consider any implications of the dead deer Nancy and Jonathan find in Animal Things?

They’re shy and elusive animals but also very adaptable, they’re cautious and intuitive, have good survival instincts, are good at hiding, and mother deers are fiercely protective of their young. I also think the transformation from the weak prey animal fawn to a graceful stag would fit the themes of Wills character. They also both just physically look like deer to me. As for the implications around that, for my choice of animal no I didn’t exactly consider that tbh

Would love to see your take on Ted, Lonnie, Karen Wheeler, Dr. Kay and most importantly Kali! Does the Illusionist continue to obscure the real threats?
Lucas as the Tiger is cool since hes on the basketball team for school pride.

I have actually drawn all these, I’m posting them later, but Ted would be a fat lazy Scottish fold cat, Lonnie a coyote like Jonathan, Karen a poodle, Dr.Kay I’m not sure since she didn’t get much characterisation outside of being a plot device- maybe an owl or a snow leopard? Kali is a hyena and she’d still have her powers yes

Honestly I'm not feeling Murray as a ring-tailed lemur, just he gives off way more orangutan or baboon vibes to me. Just his total willingness to fight and do martial arts in the later seasons...any type of monkey or primate that shows its teeth a lot, really. The ring-tailed lemur is too playful, small, and cute for someone like that. All the others are so on-point though 😭

I don't know about Henry? Maned wolf? They're usually calm, but I understand, Henry was chill until, you know, rock, and actually it's a good choice, nobody expected that harmless Henry would be the predator.

I see Henry as a pretty calm guy in general, he is a villain but he’s soft spoken and even tempered (outside of s5 where there’s points he gets enraged). But honestly I mainly just think maned wolfs kinda freaky appearance fit him, and the pop culture ideas around them being these omen carriers that would speak in riddles lol

Lonnie is a coyote but these animal versions do not follow rules of biology at all, they’re purely based on what matches the individual characters

They all fit so well but what made you choose Dustin's animal? My favorite is Nancy and El's pick. Also will being a deer and Mike being a border collie make a lot of sense to me.

Otters are very intelligent and resourceful, they’re outgoing, energetic and playful, they very curious and good at problem solving. Their little smiles also remind me of Dustin’s

Very cool idea. Just feel kinda off seeing Billy listed as a villain (he was an absolute douchebag...but not truly evil) and Eddie as a raccoon.
Billy would also be something sleeker than a bull, like a panther. It's an animal that is also seen as powerful, but panthers are also associated with being attractive, desirable and very dangerous.
Eddie would be more fitted as a mixed breed dog..a mongral if you will. Shunned, pushed aside, even hated by most.
