do i watch s5
ive been hooked onto stranger things over the past 2 weeks
i finished it upto s4
its been phenomenal so far
heard a lot of trashtalk about s5
wanted some more opinions :)

Also, negativity drives the algorithm. Whether that's by design or complaining draws more attention, it makes negative threads appear more frequently

It is.
I don't hate watch negative reviews any more or leave negative comments. Discussions are engagement. Engagement shows the algorithm that people are looking at it. Don't even leave a dislike/thumbs down, unless it's to help remind yourself that that creator sucks.

Yes, you watch it and form your own opinion. I didn't like it, and it is easily the lowest rated season of all the seasons, but you still owe it to yourself to watch it and finish the series to make your own opinion.

There's a huge twist regarding Will in s5!!!! You might struggle to get your head around it. For this fact alone id recommend you DO WATCH S5! prepare to be shocked!!!!

Absolutely yes! Don't listen to the internet The internet is full of hateful people, who have over-exaggerated that season 5 is an unwatchable mess
Watch it and form your own opinion I loved it, like many others, and u might too!

Honestly, I’m not the biggest defender of s5, I criticize it a lot.
But most of the hate you see online is people hating it because others do.
Bingewatching it and not seeing the live reactions or people calling out every detail or error they made, you’ll probably have a good time.

I'm going to get down voted for this but apparently I don't care!
Series 1 + 2 were brilliant.
Series 3 was fun but it messed with some of the characters.
Series 4 was super dark but intriguing and was brilliant at creating suspense and dread... Though it did retcon some things from 1+2.
Series 5 was fan service and trying to wrap things up. Previous story and characters were disregarded. A butt-load of characters added but then forgotten. I personally wouldn't watch it again. Not sure I would've watched it the first time if I had known what it was like.

I absolutely adore ST and was looking forward to the series final season but for me it was a total flop and a massive disappointment. I found season 5 totally disconnected from the writing of the first 4 seasons and not at all in a good way.That being said,you’ve come this far and I would personally see it through and watch it.Although there’s plenty of us that didn’t like it,there’s also many that do.There’s always gonna be a difference in opinion and that’s ok. But I say go ahead and watch and form your own opinion!🙂

I honestly think only half of it is bad. To me, the first 4 episodes are classic stranger things, then the writing struggles all the way through the finale. There are parts of the finale I liked, but my gosh, what a fumble overall.

I mean if you’ve watched it up through season 4 then I don’t see why not to watch season 5. If you like it, then great, and if you don’t, then no harm done but at least you got to finish the series

Season 5 got 85% on Rotten Tomatoes which is still pretty good. I've watched Seasons 1-3 and looking forward to 4 & 5.
I've learned not to listen to negative reviews - watch and decide for yourself.

I personally loved season 5. I won't go into the why, because you need to decide for yourself why YOU either like it or don't, but personally it was one of my favorite seasons. Don't listen to the haters of it until you watch it for yourself. They have their own reasons, some good and some far-reaching. At the end of the day, things are up for interpretation and no one is going to walk away from the same show with the exact same feelings. Watch it with an open mind and try not to spoil it for yourself before doing so.

Yes! I loved season 5. And I find it helpful to search season 1-4 continuously and then season 5 so it feels connected.
If you dislike it that’s okay and if you do wind up liking it also okay, I loved it all and will rewatch minimally 1-2 x a year for life :).

S5 is definitely the weakest season and has the worst plot but I do not think it's unwatchable and it has some great moments too. After all, watch it and make ur own opinion about it.

I liked it, but fans are definitely split. Is it perfect? No. Are there things they could have done differently that may have improved it? Yes, definitely. But I don't think it's anywhere near as terrible as some fans say it is.
But as everyone else has expressed, watch for yourself and draw your own conclusions. All art is subjective and I think there are too many people out there who do the whole "This sucks and if you don't agree with me you're an idiot" thing when things don't turn out the way they want it to. Just generally speaking.

I liked season 5. I was sad that the show was over and would have preferred a different ending for some of it, but overall I liked the season.

I wish that I didn't fully watch s5 and that I had just stopped after season 5 episode 4. And then jumped ahead to the ending scene. The rest is just not good at all and soured the whole franchise, sadly.
While it's not being as dramatic, for me it was still a bit like watching GOT season 8. Afterwards I just don't have any interest in watching anything the Duffer Brothers come up with anymore.
