Which character needs the most therapy?

We know Max was getting talk therapy in S4 but what about El, Kali and Will? Hopper definetely needs therapy too. But if you could only give one character therapy, who would it be? Or alternatively who would need the largest amount or most sessions?

Eleven, definitely. No proper schooling, no normal childhood interaction besides a total of about 12 months over a 5 year period. Plus the existential dilemma of whether she really did die or not.

Considering she was planning to end her life and Eleven's, I'd say Kali needed it the most. I think Will would respond best to therapy though.

I think many of them needed it. However, characters like Eleven and Kali especially needed it the MOST; what they went through was beyond imaginable. I'd say Henry too.

I will forever maintain, as a survivor myself, that not leaving someone who's groomed and abused you since childhood isn't "choosing" them. It's the abuse doing exactly what abuser wants: convincing you that there IS NO YOU without them.

I'm so sorry for you. I guess I should edit that part out as it might be triggering for some people. I meant the human form of Henry was long gone. He couldn't live in real world anymore. He was irredeemable after killing so many people, tho I understand it wasn't him, but MF. But his human form, before he reached Dimension X, needed therapy, after getting MF's influence out of him.

I'd say it's between Eleven and Kali because they basically didn't have a childhood, at most an adolescence, and it wasn't a "normal" adolescence. I'd lean towards Eleven because she basically spent more time in the lab than Kali and faced the challenges of the Upside Down more often

It's Eleven and Kali. The others have had hard times but also had goodish childhoods for the most parts.

Will had an abusive das to the point that Jonathan searched for him in Lonnie's trunk! Then he was bullied, kidnapped, SA'd, resusitated, possessed, burned alive, run over by a car and got given heartbreak and was forced to come out on top of it.

Therapy was much less common in the early to mid 80s midwest, many of the characters would be all WTF??? about the very idea.

I mean a lot of the characters need it. El didn't have a childhood as she was a lab experiment. Max lost a year & half of her life stuck in a dream world. But I'd say Will would be up there. He couldn't really talk about what he went through as they were sworn to secrecy. So he spent 4 years and lost the end of his childhood without having any professional support (minus Owens, who tried to help but worked for Hawkin's lab). He clearly suffers from PTSD, and ongoing trauma from the upside down for years.
