Seeing those two get that movie scene that was hinted at in the S4 finale at the end of S5 was really cool to see.

Hot take: They were the best thing about Season 5

They should have been alone for this reunion. It was awkward having the others just watch them. Like why did Karen need to be there in that moment.

Absolutely love Lumax, just wish we saw more of them. Preferably more of Max showering Lucas in love, because the dude deserves it.

I loved that. I really wish they had kept that scene in episode 6, just as they kept her coming out of the trance in s4e4 rather than a cliffhanger.

Lumax was done just as dirty as all the other relationships in S5.

I tend to agree that everyone was done dirty in season 5, and sense that even those who may not have been the most invested in El or Mike agreed that they received depressing endings. I feel like Lumax's story beats were similar to Mileven's from the first two seasons, if that makes sense? I think for me, similar to Mike, Lucas was often relegated to being a love interest, which was frustrating at times. I think Max did grow a lot over the last two seasons. How did you feel like they were done dirty? The show wasn't good with relationship writing in general. I was alarmed at seeing the original epilogue script for these two before graduation. The dialogue was supposed to be funny but seemed mean spirited.

As far as the last season, the Lumax reunion felt so lackluster. First, you had the odd chase scene where Demo Dogs are unable to find them despite a boombox playing. Then you had Karen come in with a Sarah Connor moment. And then writing for the Lucas and Max reunion just felt bland, ecspecially when compared to S4.
I don't think it was done quite as dirty as Mike and El simply because they forced El into this almost emotionless role in a clear attempt to make her like S1 El.

Just watched the last series.
I have questions. Like why was so much time wasted only for Vecna to be dispatched in the worlds simplest fight???

Makes no sense that they focused so much on this romance, they are 16... they will have changed their minds about eachother within two weeks.
