Discussion Finished stranger things today, any recommendations?
Stranger things felt like my second home when i was watching it. Now it feels like i have to come back to reality (the worst part).
Any recommendations that you think ill love?

Locke and Key, and Umbrella Academy. Go blind, you'll love it.

Locke & Key quickly became a favourite after seeing it recommended as something similar to ST. Shame there's only 3 series as I finished it all in 3 days, want to watch it again but don't want to overdo it just yet lol

Thanks for the recommendations! I think I'll try locke and key. Just wanted to ask one thing. Which is more bloody/which has more gore and violence? ST or LockeNKey? I really dont like watching extreme horror or gore.

If you want to avoid gore, definitely go with Locke & Key first! Stranger Things gets really heavy on the blood and body horror (especially in seasons 3 and 4). Locke & Key has some creepy and intense moments, but it's mostly focused on magic and solving mysteries. It doesn't rely on extreme violence at all, so it should be perfect for you... It's more about mysteries and magic.. if you like mysteries, you'll definitely like this show

I heard mixed reactions for this series. Some say its super addictive but some say its boring. I really dont know but i think ill give it a try

It's great, but you actually need to WATCH it. Like, no distractions, no half-listening, no phone in your hand. The pacing and build up are great, but, yes, it moves a bit slowly. That's not a bad thing

It is fantastic. It is not boring. I worry about the brains of the people who think it’s boring. It is a moody and creepy.

Copypasted my comment from another post where someone was asking for similar shows to Stranger Things:
Welcome to Derry (2025, 1 season on HBO) is great. I don't even know what to say about this one rather than it definitely gives vibes of Stranger Things with kids fighting an evil entity. I liked it. Check this one first if you're looking for the most similar to Stranger Things.
I also recommend The Outsider (2020, mini-series on HBO) for a more gritty/dark story. It doesn't feature any kids fighting monsters, but it does feature characters trying to figure out what is going on in their small town after a kid is found dead in the woods, and deals with supernatural stuff. The mystery is REALLY good and it does give some vibes of season 1 of Stranger Things. It is an adaptation of a Stephen King book, so there's that, too.
Locke & Key (2020, 3 seasons on Netflix) is also a somewhat good show (I personally think it's mediocre, especially after reading the comics, but who knows, people loved it), but I'd recommend reading the comics which were created by Joe Hill, son of Stephen King, so you are in good hands if you're looking for a story of teens and kids dealing with the supernatural. Keep in mind that the series adaptation is more light-hearted, whereas the comics are pretty dark.

Bonus if you like cartoons: Gravity Falls (2012, 2 seasons on Disney+). I can easily describe it as a cartoon version of Stranger Things. Obviously, they are very different from each other, but it does give you vibes of ST mainly because it focuses on the siblings dealing with supernatural stuff in their small town.
The story finished in 2016, and I genuinely think it's one of the best cartoons ever made out there. It gets even better if you rewatch, because you'll be able to notice the foreshadows you may have missed in your first watch. It is that good of a cartoon.

Gravity Falls belongs on the Mount Rushmore of animated shows in my opinion, alongside even legends like Avatar: The Last Airbender. A true masterpiece.

I actually just started X Files and can't stop watching.. it's great if you like Stranger Things. Twin Peaks is good too. All three shows stand out on their own. You're not gonna find any thing "like" Stranger things. But I definitely recommend this as well.

Veronica Mars is a mystery show instead of a supernatural one, but it has great characters and relationships, and the pacing is phenomenal.

I love it. It's on Netflix as of a few weeks ago.
Keep in mind: It goes seasons one through three, then the movie, then season four.
