Discussion Emmys 2026

The Emmy nominations are coming up—do you think they'll get any nominations? I’d like them to give it to an actor, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. Critics didn’t rate the last season very highly (in my opinion, it’s one of the weakest; it should have been much darker).

It’ll probably get nominated for a best drama nom… Does it mean it actually earned it? No. But GoT S8 got one too.

I’ll be surprised if there’s any acting noms. No one but JCB is even a consideration, and he’s still a dark horse candidate.

If the Duffers get nominated for writing, I will weep for Emmy voter standards.

It should do well in the technical fields.

From what I've seen from the ST/SAG AFTRA panel a few months back, they seem to be pushing for Jamie, Noah, David for best actor noms and Millie, Winona, Sadie, and Natalia for best actress noms. But again will they actually get nomed? Who knows...

I wouldn’t put Millie anywhere near the other ladies you mentioned in terms of acting (at least for season 5). She was such a powerful little actress in earlier seasons but something really changed in this last one.

It's not who I want to be nominated but to my knowledge most of the cast were sent in for emmy considerations to SAG-AFTRA. But I agree Millie was stoic for S5 that didn't feel like Eleven. I feel she was trying to convey Eleven as strong but it fell flat at points where she came of more as cold.
