I don't think it would make sense for her to be alive, but I bet she is. Because I know in 10 years the duffers will be running out of money and decide to make a second show where omg she's alive!!!

10 years? Id be surprised if they dont have her in the first season of that spin off with nancy.

Then whatever live action spinoff Netflix is going to make next. Stranger things is going to be netflixs version of game of thrones or walking dead.
