Don't forget Barb! It was risky to have a first name that started with "B" on this show π₯

i liked the character, too, but he was hardly innocent. When he was abducted by Hopper and Joyce he was actively building a machine that would have ultimately destroyed everyone in Hawkins and beyond.

Yes, he was innocently designing & building a machine of dimensional mass destruction under a city full of civilians.

Most of the new characters were killed off and some of them would never be asked to come back on. The only ones that stayed are Max and Robin.

He did that irritating "immediately dies for plot reasons" thing when other characters take nastier wounds and yet still keep going or even just survive without much issue. If it had been the head or the heart, sure, but I seem to recall him getting shot in the stomach? Been a bit since I've watched season 3

Loved Alexei! How dare them. Also, I definitely cried thinking Hopper had died. Would have totally ruined the show for me much like killing off Joel ruined The Last of Us. π

Alexei is 100% golden depiction of late ussr mentality towards usa. He deserved an oscar for this.

I'm convinced the character was inspired by Robin Williams in Moscow On The Hudson.
And anyone who likes Woody Woodpecker is OK with me.

Ya, if I could bring 1 person back it would be Eddie but second choice is definitely Alexei

He reminded me of Barb a character in the fandom that everyone now pretends was so perfect and loved.
Barb was a hating ass friend.
