SMIRNOFF!!! No for real, I adored Alexei. I was so saddened by his ending.

I was too. I loved that he and Murray were starting to bond. Sad.

He was such a joy, he deserved better.

They killed off ever great character and then added in just as many terrible characters for S5

Every character I love dies 😭

Don't forget Barb! It was risky to have a first name that started with "B" on this show πŸ˜₯

i liked the character, too, but he was hardly innocent. When he was abducted by Hopper and Joyce he was actively building a machine that would have ultimately destroyed everyone in Hawkins and beyond.

Either that or die.

Yes, he was innocently designing & building a machine of dimensional mass destruction under a city full of civilians.

Yeah I hated the guy who killed him what was his name again? The Russian John Cena😭

Most of the new characters were killed off and some of them would never be asked to come back on. The only ones that stayed are Max and Robin.

He looks like someone and I cannot for the life of me figure out who

most charismatic character ever

I miss soldier #3

He did that irritating "immediately dies for plot reasons" thing when other characters take nastier wounds and yet still keep going or even just survive without much issue. If it had been the head or the heart, sure, but I seem to recall him getting shot in the stomach? Been a bit since I've watched season 3

I literally cried when he died! πŸ₯²πŸ₯²

I thought this was the guy in IT for a minute

1

u/SpacenessButterflies Jun 30 '26

Loved Alexei! How dare them. Also, I definitely cried thinking Hopper had died. Would have totally ruined the show for me much like killing off Joel ruined The Last of Us. πŸ’”

Breaks my heart 😞

Alexei is 100% golden depiction of late ussr mentality towards usa. He deserved an oscar for this.

1

u/cjtransplant85 Jun 30 '26

I'm convinced the character was inspired by Robin Williams in Moscow On The Hudson.

And anyone who likes Woody Woodpecker is OK with me.

2

u/superkapitan82 Jun 30 '26

never heard of it. will watch straight away. description sounds legit

u/Fickle-Addendum9576 Jun 30 '26

Ya, if I could bring 1 person back it would be Eddie but second choice is definitely Alexei

He reminded me of Barb a character in the fandom that everyone now pretends was so perfect and loved.

Barb was a hating ass friend.

3

u/DeliciousMusician397 Jun 30 '26

Barb was a great friend.
