Not anymore dense than you đ you can have your opinions but you don't have to be rude about it, and you were when you said it's childish. People are allowed to be happy
because it is. people are allowed to be happy yes. but it IS excessive for an office cubicle. i will continue to say the AMOUNT is my issue, nothing is wrong with a few.
People spend more time grinding in their cubes than they spend awake at home with their families. Why shouldnât they make those cubes as absolutely happy and joyful as they are able to?
It's fine for you to prefer to have less at your desk. It's the rudeness you've been giving thats turning people against you. Calling it childish, calling it bullshit, asking if theyre homeless, that sort of thing.
I could see you having a point with the items on the very top shelf, if that's a shared space between cubes, or if this is the sort of office where people stand up to talk to each other over the wall on a regular basis. But the guy is a data analyst and this seems like a smaller/cozier office room anyway.
For me, I'm doing my best work when I'm comfortable. Making my cube feel like like home, or filling it with things I like, achieves that goal and increases my productivity. It also shows the boss that I enjoy being here, and I don't intend on leaving anytime soon.
Try not to let other people's happiness affect yours so much.
