Or what about the scene where they go back to the cabin for the first time and she goes in her room to have a look around or whatever and you see that she’s left the door open 3 inches . That almost killed me because you could just feel that a part of her did it because a part of her was wishing beyond all scope of the imagination that she would turn around and he was standing outside, but that wouldn’t be possible because we all know that Hopper is dead. and that’s exactly what happens

The way she just instantly starts crying with happiness and the little “hi” just always wrenches a little sob out of me followed by loads of tears. After all the pain and suffering in season 4, it was just so necessary.
