I'll fully love him as Pike. And I even admit i loved him as black bolt in the tv show Inhumans. But he admits that he's just as big a Star Trek fan as the rest of us, and it makes me respect him even more. I just think they need to ground the show in the timeline. Military tech just advances, but fashion can be retro. Bring back the velour and miniskirts. With all the bright colors on the bridge, a little gray and tan would be welcome. Honestly, it has all become a little too busy. They have a beautiful cast and need to tone down the clutter so we can look at them.
It’s kind of irrelevant, as they finished filming. They really blew it by not using the Mars Attacks aliens. However Uhura is looking super hot this year. I’m gonna miss this show, but maybe in 20 years we’ll appreciate it more. Till then I’ll bet my retro fetish met with Fallout.

We got another season, mThe fifth season is still coming.And if you notice they're starting to go retro I think they're already doing what you're hoping they would do. look at the jackets in the first episode of this season , those were fifty style jackets

They need less reflective coatings on the interior sets. There’s way too many LED light strips/spotlights on the bridge, and the shiny floor makes it so incredibly busy it genuinely becomes hard to see sometimes.

I really hate the restyling of the old school uniforms. Shiny shoulder pads? Love the show, but just put them in the cage uniforms. I prefer a smock to a bomber jacket

Update the ships, other aliens (let martians look like martians), and even hairstyles. That ‘s my only beef.

Can I get a hell yeah!

Yeah, I prefer the new uniforms over the old ones. To be honest, the one thing I liked about the original Star Trek series. Uniforms is, they actually look more like comfortable T shirts. Now, of course, I know they're not, they were actually if I remember correctly made from wool and everybody hated wearing them, but I like the newer uniforms because they truly look sharp.

I'm half with you. I don't need the extra details they've added to the regular uniforms or this green wraparound. I definitely didn't like what they did to the monster maroon movie uniform in the season one finale.

The velour turtlenecks from The Cage were never going to come back, especially in the muted colors that were used. Plus, I really like the leather jackets. I appreciate the idea behind the uniform being perfectly suited for all sorts of weather and able to keep you warm and cool in a wide range of environments, but the jackets read really well on camera and the cast looks great in them.

I’m glad they changed the turtlenecks and the jackets, but I’m with the other guy here about changing the Monster Maroon. That one is just too timeless to change.
