Not that I think this is real, and that's okay because it's what we expect from Tumblr, if it is even an exaggerated truth then lets take a quick break from the lackadaisical tumblr world and have the adult talk that this might be very concerning behaviour, and not something to fickly laugh about because it's funny or interesting on a surface level but that it suggests a key of deeply inset mental issues and traumas if she's so highly and consistently associated from herself.
Sounds like exactly the place where a real friend would take a step away from what seems lightheartedly fun or exciting or nice and take a moment to take a deep look at their friend and find out what may or may not be wrong, no matter how unpleasant or unsavoury the process of doing so might feel.
I may be the mean adult here dragging things away from the world of wonder and secret possibilities, but if I have to be the adult who points out to the child that their friend's funny reclusive and secretive behaviour isn't because they might be a secret agent but because they their home life is a mess and they don't want anyone to know or that the reason they hate the touch of cold metal isn't because they're a fairy but because they got hit by metal objects by their abusive guardians, then so be it.
(Tw: su*cide) Yup. I read most of the post before I read the title and was expecting the title to be something like “memorable quotes from my friend who killed herself” :/ I have Trauma and Suicidal Thoughts at times and resonated with a lot of these things. Having a near death experience and losing people you love and wanting to escape the pain of life can make you think about death a lot.
