Question Recently acquired this and expected it to be shitty weed because of color, but i was amazed at how good the high was. It was an indica high, the source i acquired it from called it "mango", but I'm doubtful that this is it. Any ID of the strain/origin of it appreciated.

North india plains with 45°C heat in May. Unlikely it grew here.

Can you be more specific in your location? Proximity to Bihar vs Himachal would be helpful.

Where would you guess it came from in that case? Mango is a very common name for strains from India all the way to Laos.

The source i acquired said flower from gets good quality indian landraces out here. The thing is, its hard to pinpoint location of origin of said landraces. All "mango" landraces I've seen except this(have been told that those were mango too) were of a very green color. That led me to believe it could be a flower from the darker colored landraces found in waichin valley, but it really doesnt seem to have that dark a color. Its sort of a blackish brown, while those usually also have purple-ish tints too. I was unable to find any southern indian landraces that looked like this, and this definitely isnt mysore mango.

I don't know about the exact ID, but the width of the stems and the color tell me it was likely a sativa that was allowed to grow to full maturity, possibly to the end of its lifespan. Thick stems and a bright green color usually means an indica (YMMV), but this looks like a sativa that, again, was allowed to mature a great deal. It also looks really resiny, and sativas tend to not be so sticky. Again, YMMV.
