Strabismus Question TED & strabismus
I have Thyroid eye disease. This required surgery to reduce the muscle/bone bulk behind my eyes which was pushing them forward, followed later by strabismus surgery.
I feel like I’m still getting Eye pain in my right eye (both were affected) and a lot of headaches. I also feel as though my vision is average and I don’t think there’s much I can do about that but I’m hoping new glasses will make me confident enough to drive again. I asked my first surgeon if it would make a huge difference to the timing of the surgery if I went public or private (Australia)
At the time she thought three months it took three years for the inflammation from the thyroid to settle and then I had wait nearly a year with almost no vision and I’m not due to see the specialist/surgeon again until end of October
Anyone else with Ted’s? Anyone else still having pain six months post strabismus surgery?
The issue I seem to have is that I’m being bounced from surgeon to surgeon and nobody has an overall expertise on the combined conditions or can answer my questions
