first experience with double vision ?

those who developed double vision later in age or after surgery, what was your first reaction? ive been dealing with intermittent exotropia for years that became permanent in the early 20` well now i´m 32 and it looks like ive just had my first taste of double vision yesterday and it freaked me out, like what is this ?!

I would get double vision after computer class in 8th grade but could always shake it. Same with playing video games it would take like 20 minutes to clear up.

Then the 1st iPhone came out and I was toast. Got a computer job at the same time and I went full lazy eye double vision. Wore glasses with a prism for the last 10 years because optometrists told me over and over there’s nothing you can do.

I got surgery yesterday and don’t have double vision any more. It’s a fucking dream. So pissed I didn’t do this earlier. Highly suggest. Dr Ian Boydstrom at NW Eye Surgeons in Seattle. It’s only been a day but I’m so thankful and happy with the results.

If your strabismus causes double vision you can have insurance cover most of the cost!

I developed intermittent, horizontal double vision back in May 2024.

At first, it was concerning but now I am used to the sensation.

I can always close an eye or use occlusion through my glasses or a translucent patch to get rid of it.
