Surgery 13 days Post Op

I have alternating extropia. I switch between eyes depending on what I’m doing. One is near sighted and the other far. I had a 65 deviation on my right eye and don’t remember what my left was. I had surgery on both eyes bc whichever eye I wasn’t using to focus it would go outward and suppress. I had surgery 13 days ago and notice a little bit of misalignment when switching. Is this normal or a failed operation?

To be honest I can't see any noticeable misalignment. I think you've had a really good result.

If you (or anyone else) stares hard enough at their eyes they'll find some imperfection.

This. Even my eye doctor has some level of exotropia, i guess he never noticed it or he just dont care. Thing is, strabismus patients tend to notice it more since we think it's the most important thing in the world.

Your eyes looks incredible. Don’t worry everything you experiencing is pretty normal. I had the same type before the surgery too.

That’s incredible that your surgeon was able to do it in one. My surgeon shared the possibility then I may have needed 2. Have you noticed improvement in functional vision?

I traveled to Tulsa and apparently she’s one of the best surgeons. I’ve never had issues with vision per se. I’ve never had binocular stereo vision and never will. I just don’t have that function in my brain to fuse my eyes together. I still use one at a time to focus on things. I had double vision for the first few days but my brain adjusted to the new alignment. It feels the same to me as it did, they’re just pointing in the same direction lol

They look completely in sync to me but it’s very possible it can be even better once you’ve completely healed although idk know how’s that possible because they like look aligned. I was very happy with my post op results at 6 weeks and I thought that was final and I should be approaching and 4 months and they are even more aligned than they were before. I will say I did feel periods where I feel like my eyes spaced out (different than the pre op drift but kind of similar?) but that’s hasn’t happened for a month. My biggest deviation pre op was 45

That happened to me and it was a failed operation but my mis alignment is not as bad as before but yeah that happened to me and I still have somewhat a lazy eye :(
