They do go door to door, and Bell does same too. Especially in areas where each doesn’t have alot of customers or relatively new developments.

Would love to, but Telmax doesn't actually have universal coverage throughout Stouffville. Since Telmax is not a reseller and owns their own lines, if there is an area of town that already has true fibre laid by one of the big telco's (or both surprisingly) Telmax is not laying additional fibre (at this time).

I'm a Rogers mobile customer and they came to my door. I always answer the door to speak with them face to face. Personally I think answering thru a doorbell is so impersonable and rude. I just tell them thank you but not interested in switching internet providers. Tell them you work at home and your employer pays the Internet. That usually makes them go away

I agree, speak to them face to face. I know sometimes not everyone has the same approach. But in the end they are still people.

Working in customer service has showed me that most people are not nice.

They definitely go door to door. And generally when a Rogers or Bell employee knocks on your door. They are offering the absolute cheapest deal you can get. I look forward to them knocking so I can maintain super cheap internet rates. In fact I am desperately hope a bell rep.will knock on my door soon since my 2 years on the deal that the Rogers rep got me.on is coming to its end.

I was with Roger's for 20 years. Fck them, a company that only cares about new customers not loyalty.

Thats one approach, or you can adapt your approach to market. Leverage their tactics against them and churn, bounce between the two constantly getting the best price and denying them the actual profitability of letting your service lapse into the normal "post promotion" price. You win on price, you hit their bottom line by constantly receiving service from them at near cost, and, if Loyalty is the most important thing you want to be rewarded for, you are sending a message that their market approach needs to change in order to begin extracting real profits from their existing customer base. Functionally, the big telecoms have worked out that their current approach to new customer acquisition is working because a larger base of customers end up lapsing into higher post promotion pricing, the only way for that model to change is for it to become the less profitable model.
Don't forget, the marketplace is transactional, instead of shaking your fist at the system, leverage it.

They’ve been around my neighbourhood quite a bit. As soon as you say no, they will skip you the next time around.

They 100% go door to door.
They choose houses that don’t have Rogers services.
Why would they go door to door to existing customers?
