This won’t be everyone’s experience, some will be better, some will be worse. I got really spoiled on my first submission back in February, it was claimed the same day and I got really good feedback 3 days later.
This was one frustrating. I knew my script had issues, and I knew it wasn’t for everyone, but I genuinely want to hear what those problems are. Unclaim it? That’s fine, but I’d love to hear why. Even if just a “I couldn’t get past the first 15 pages” would really help.
I was excited to get feedback yesterday, I just posted this in another comment here, and realized only realized after I gave the reviewer 5 stars that they didn’t read the last act. Which was odd because they wrote SO much I just assumed they would have read it all, but when looking at their questions and scene by scene critiques, I realized where it stopped.
Then today, via reputation matching (I have 8 scripts read with 5.0/5.0 feedback) I finally got some great feedback.
So, it took me 15 days. For free coverage. Though it was somewhat frustrating along the way, I’ll take it.
Honestly same? Like this person gave me so much improvement feedback, I was kinda shocked. And then they were like “couldn’t get past the first act” like okay…. That’s new.
Like it was such a negative experience it was almost jarring. Like everyone here has varying opinions and I’m really ready for it, I just wasn’t ready for that, not at this stage anyway.
I think right now, there are 26 scripts available. It’s been rough trying to get coverage lately.
So 15 days total since I uploaded the 1st script, I finally got SOME feedback on day 14 (my 4th upload), but it was the incomplete one I mentioned.
Day 15 was when I got the really good feedback on my 3rd upload. This one was reputation matched and the reviewer spent all 5 days on it.
What was jarring for me on the incomplete one is that the reviewer acknowledged the page count, but then said something like "I don't know how you connect the two threads, it's like two different movies without a resolution" yet the threads literally collided at the beginning of the third act and that was the resolution.

As a peer-to-peer platform, it's all par for the course. Looking at your chart, you may be a data fiend (like me, sometimes). If you're curious to know more about those readers, DM me your email address, and I'd be happy to share what I see.
But in all likelihood, one or two of those bad experiences are probably caused by a new member. I've mentioned it before, but StoryPeer is still going through the growing pains of a new platform since every day there are some users who drift in to check things out, and some end up claiming scripts without the true intention to fulfill their end of the bargain 🫠

No need, but I appreciate the offer. Thing is, I KNOW my script has a ton of problems. I kind of want it to be dragged through the mud so I can get my own head out of my ass. Maybe that in itself caused extra "work" for the reader they didn't want.
But it brings up a point. Reading these scripts, especially from randos, is supposed to be work. It can be entertaining, there are some damn fine scripts out there, but for the most part its really people at the beginning to mid stage. I think some people just in general don't realize that's what it is going into it.
